HOW TO CREATE A COZY CHRISTMAS DECOR

This year, we decided to ditch the traditional Christmas tree and DIY our own with driftwood. We are absolutely loving the result, especially my son { surprisingly }. The rustic, cozy and enchanting feel is what we were looking for. As usual, when it comes to home décor, especially for Christmas, HomeSense is one of those stores that are always on my list.I picked up a few items from HomeSense to help bring my vision to life. I went shopping with 3 words in mind:

TEXTURE: I think coziness rhymes with texture. In this case, a faux fur throw was on top of my list and I found the perfect one for under $30. A steal! A faux fur pillow was also mandatory and can be used in any room after the holidays. I always try to opt for pieces I'll be able to repurpose.
NEUTRAL: I wanted to keep things simple so I prioritized neutral colours. The white straw basket was too cute to pass up. Also, it will be the perfect accessory to store our son's toys and all the small things in the living room. The wooden star was a fab find too and easy to incorporate in out theme.
The merino wool throw I'm snuggled in is from Atelier 4920, a local Montréal company. The owner puts so much love and dedication in the making of these knitted pieces. I found their store via Etsy Canada. I love Etsy — the worldwide platform for small businesses. Being an entrepreneur myself, I'm a huge #shopsmall advocate.
FESTIVE: String lights, golden wired ribbon and the cutest ornaments. I found everything I was looking for at HomeSense. I mean, how adorable is the angel ornament! The "Let It Snow" banner is from an Etsy shop I absolutely love: GenWoo

As you can see, I wanted to keep things neutral and clean, yet magical enough for my son. We light up the tree at night and he is in awe each time. So, what do you think of our décor and the Christmas tree? I am pretty proud we did something different this time around. Now can we fast forward to Christmas Eve?!Christmas Snow globe // Christmas Interiors Ideas // Neutral décor for Christmas // Petite and BoldFamily First - Christmas Interiors Ideas // Neutral décor for Christmas // Petite and BoldDriftwood Christmas tree // Christmas Interiors Ideas // Neutral décor for Christmas // Petite and BoldHow to create a cozy decor for Christmas // Christmas Interiors Ideas // Neutral décor for Christmas // Petite and BoldMonogram Mug -- Cozy by the fireplace // Atelier 4920 Merino wool throw // Petite and BoldMagical Christmas -- DIY driftwood christmas tree ideas -- warm and cozy decor -- Petite and Bold_Our Cozy Christmas Nook // Petite and BoldMinimal gift wrapping ideas for Christmas // Petite and BoldOversized sweater and long socks // Cozy by the fireplace // Atelier 4920 Merino wool throw // Petite and BoldMagical Christmas // Cozy by the fireplace // Atelier 4920 Merino wool throw // Petite and BoldHot Cocoa by the fireplace // Neutral Christmas decor ideas // Atelier 4920 Merino wool throw // Petite and Bold
